Nuclear industry

Application background

The nuclear industry has extremely strict requirements on the safety, high temperature resistance and stability of thermal insulation materials. Mesoporous thermal insulation materials have become an ideal thermal insulation material choice in the nuclear industry due to their excellent thermal insulation properties and A1-level non-combustible properties.

Main application scenarios

It is mainly used in high-temperature steam injection mining projects for heavy oil. The medium temperature is 350-400°C. Through efficient thermal insulation, it can effectively reduce the temperature drop and pressure drop of steam during transportation and improve the thermal energy utilization efficiency.

Technical advantages

  • Extremely low thermal conductivity:The thermal conductivity under working conditions is only half that of traditional materials, significantly reducing heat loss.
  • High temperature resistance:The long-term use temperature can reach 650℃, meeting the high temperature working conditions requirements of the nuclear industry.
  • Class A1 non-combustible:Completely non-flammable and meets the strict fire safety standards of the nuclear industry
  • Overall hydrophobic:Hydrophobicity ≥98%, effectively preventing moisture intrusion from causing thermal insulation failure
  • Long service life:It does not loosen or pulverize under high temperatures, reducing the frequency of maintenance and replacement.

Application effect

After using mesoporous insulation materials, the heat loss of steam transportation pipelines is significantly reduced, and the energy saving rate exceeds 30%. At the same time, the thickness of the insulation layer is reduced by about 1/3 compared with the traditional solution, effectively saving pipeline erection space and the amount of auxiliary materials.
